The Flamingo Motel in Asbury Park has it's own "unique" reputation among those who have been there, or for that matter, know people who have been there.
The Flamingo Motel has been in Asbury Park since the 1970s, and where as it was once a popular vacation lodge, it's reputation has steadily declined since the 1970s.
The Motel is very "retro", and reflects the era in which it was made. The Motel was renovated in 2002, obviously in hopes of attracting a more "appealing" crowd.
However, even after enovations it is "not a very upscale Motel, it caters to the people of lesser class." The Flamingo's " reputation is tainted".
