The Asbury Empress Motel, 101 Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park The Empress Motel opened in mid-July of 2004! The city's "newest" hotel was the talk of the town! The Motel, and club Paradise, are the contribution of Shep Pettibone. It was, without a doubt, a clear sign that the city was "returning."
